Responsibilities of Service Desk Analyst I:
Records problems and their resolution in a ticketing system.
Provides Tier-1 support for workstations (desktopsand laptops), peripherals, applications and network services forWindows and Macs.
Installs, configures and maintains workstations and peripherals, including printers.
Maintains item information in Configuration Management DB (CMDB).
Troubleshoots hardware or software problems affecting workstations, escalating when necessary.
Creates and maintains end-user accounts.
Provides basic LAN/WAN/VPN support.
Implements corporate security procedures.
Communicates patiently, clearly and completely with end users.
Ability to lift personal computers and related equipment (up to 30 lbs).
Requirements for Service Desk Analyst I:
Associate`s degree in scientific or engineering discipline.
1-2 years of work experience in related field.
Ability to diagnose problems through proper analysis: logic, research, and decomposition.
Knowledge of PC/Mac hardware, Windows OS (XP, 2000 and Vista), Mac Os X and MS Office Products.
Understanding and sensitivity to principles of information security, especially as regards confidentiality and privacy.
Basic theoretical understanding of networks, including LAN/WAN/VPN.
